Usually when someone is kind enough to send me a product of theirs, if I put it on the blog, I take lots of pictures and speak glowingly about said item. Well today, I’m only going show you this: a picture of Charlotte based illustrator Matt Steven’s MAX100 book–still in the bubble wrap. Nothing else.

Why? Because something this good you have to experience. Besides, my photos wouldn’t do this book justice anyway. You know what? Let me speak even more plainly: if you’re an artist or you claim to be a part of the Sneakerhead tribe you must do yourself a favor and BUY THIS BOOK NOW.

This book plus the work it took to complete is more inspirational to me than anything (insert wealthy person’s name) has ever done. Matt is a married father of three that took his love of the Nike Air Max 1 and created, what I believe to be, a masterpiece. It’s one thing to be inspired. It’s another thing to allow that inspiration to motivate movement. But for that inspiration to come manifest itself into this gloriously packaged creation…now that’s the stuff of legends.

I salute you Mr. Stevens for not being content with just an idea but making sure you saw this thing through.

Talk about keeping things “one hunnid”…
