While the Jordan XI is one of my favorite shoes of all time–it isn’t such a priority in my life that I would stand outside for hours and risk my well being for them. But fortunately for Nike, there are way more people that are interested in doing whatever it takes to get them than not so I guess by the traditional supply versus demand equation they “win”.
Houston news station KRIV gave it’s viewers a peek inside the madness on their “report” on the Concords release and all I learned was that, even in Texas, the news stations will find the most ignorant people to interview in order to make “good TV”. Whatever gets the dial moving, right?
By the way, Loop21 posted a very interesting article on the FIVE THINGS people should be rioting over rather than the Jordan XIs. Other than the whole #Occupy movement, I agree with everything Maurice wrote. People were causing physical harm to each and public property to get a pair of shoes represented by a man (sneaker contributions aside) that has never done anything for anyone other than himself and was one of the MAIN SUPPORTERS of the NBA lockout. Yeah, let’s kill each other in order to keep that man rich–I mean, isn’t that the real reason for the season?
Fuck you very much, Michael Jordan.
To everyone else, enjoy the Holidays.
