A couple weeks ago, my good friend Larry from the Atlanta based clothing brand We Are The Process, came down to Charleston to conduct an experiment with me: give people free beer while checking out dope clothing. Surprise, surprise–it was a successful event!
Why more companies/clothing stores don’t do this I’ll never know (potential lawsuits maybe?). Our good buddy Rhett, the proprietor of the Holy City’s only menswear surf shop, Rogue Wave (I just coined that term in an effort to properly describe his shop but if you’ve ever been inside of it, I think you’d agree with that phrase), let Larry set up a temporary WAtP strong hold and hand out compliment New Belgium beer to anyone (of age) that happened to stop by. Purchases were encouraged, as special pricing was in effect for the day, but not necessary.
There was no DJ or any music being played of any kind–just the refreshing sound of salutations, introductions, laughter, and conversation. I’m sure a first for any streetwear product related event. All praises due to the Sneaker Gods for allowing our friend Tyler to come through and snap some pictures on our behalf. And just in case these pictures create a need in you to own some Process product remember that the We Are The Process online store sale is still going on until the end of the month.
