The middle Tennessee sneaker extravaganza, Sneakers x Speakers, is coming back to Nashville for “Round Two”. I was at the first joint held earlier this year at PhatKaps (sup T!) and had a great time! The concept is the same: incorporating sneakers, live musical performances, display booths, and give-aways (Cement IIIs anyone?) but this time around SxS is partnering with Soles4Soles, a Nashville-based charity that collects old shoes and distributes them to those in need. For those of you that aren’t familiar with S4S let me drop some background knowledge on y’all. Since 2005, the organization has put approximately 16 million pairs of new and gently used sneakers on the feet of people across 127 countries. Nice, right?
They’re hosting a pre-event mixer on Friday with the main event coming the following day, November 26th from 2-7 PM at 12th & Porter. For more details, visit the the official SxS site and the SxS Facebook page.
