If you’ve been following the site then you know that I’ve been in Palmetto State spitta Jus Nice’s corner since last month when I met him in Atlanta for a while now. Finally, via Twitter, he has released his new video featuring the vocal styling of Asia Bryant and directed by Bank!.
The heart, mind, and soul of a Champion is what Jus Nice proclaims to have on this emotional track. It’s good to see a rapper speak from the heart without being extra emo–I know that’s a weird thing to say but it’s true and I know I’m not the only person that thinks that. Give of us your soul but don’t be sappy. Easier said than done but it’s often the request of even the most well meaning hip-hop fan. We can be jerks sometimes…
Even still, Jus Nice fights through it all. High school, college, basketball try outs, and the lost of his mother have built him into a stronger person. This track is his triumphant announcement to the world that his trials have done nothing but made him a better man. Invictus anyone?
