If you were not aware, the Jordan 6 “Infrared” packs are dropping this weekend and among the spots that you can purchase it from is Atlanta boutique Wish. To coincide with today’s special drop Wish has released a “Infrared” colored self-branded tee. I think this is a genius idea but I can’t, for the life of me, understand why more stores don’t do this? If you’re a sneaker store then you get shipments all of the time so understand that I’m not asking EVERY store to release a tee with every sneaker drop. That doesn’t make a bit of sense at all. But we’re not talking about just any shoe, we’re talking about “Infrared” Jordans here and any store receiving these should know that these are a hot commodity. So why not squeeze a bit more juice out while you’re at it, nawimtalkinbout?

The package is retailing for $310. So why not boost that price by a Jackson and throw in a tee shirt for your troubles? Win-win right? The consumer get the shoes they want AND a shirt to match while the retailer gets to sell two items at once AND the customer will become a walking billboard for the store. Maybe it’s not common sense to everyone but me and the team at Wish. Regardless, in my opinion this is a great example of both salesmanship and branding from one of Atlanta’s premier retail outpost and I commend them for the extra effort.
