Not sure how many of yall that follow H1GHER LEARNING also follow Writers Block Media but if you’re in South Carolina, you claim to love hip-hop and you’re NOT checking the Block then you are doing yourself a major disservice. Anyway, a while ago Warren Jae (formerly known as Young Burna) linked with Randy Roper, music editor of Ozone Magazine, and Randy’s “rat pack” of movers and shakers and formed what is now known as Million Dollar Dreamz; a collective of like minded individuals with different talents all working towards one common goal–getting this money by any (legal) means necessary.
What MMD has become, in my opinion, is the semi-blueprint for any rapper trying to get on. Long story short–the J.Cole’s of the world are few and far between, and to correctly showcase one’s “movement” you will need a team of individuals with skill sets you don’t have to share in your ideas and concepts, plan a proper course, and execute that plan until the end. While Million Dollar Dreamz’s plan for world domination is far from complete, in fact they are barely getting started, the rap God’s have decided to shine some favor upon their click and Warren’s newest video ‘Dear Jasmine” is making the internet rounds something fierce. Who knew that as they decided to release this video ol’ Golden Barbie would become a hip-hop internet sensation? I mean, besides the hip-hop God’s that is…
And now this virtual “nobody” (at least outside of the state of South Carolina) is a virtual somebody…or at minimum a virtual “Hey I’ve seen that guy before”. So Randy, all I’m going to say is don’t be like Akon, drop the friggin’ mixtape already bruh.
Sincerely yours, KJ.
