You know those Old Spice commercials in which there’s a dude on a horse and he keeps saying “Imma MAN!” and laughing like an old sailor? This is what he should have been pushing (no disrespect to Old Spice) because THIS is a manly ass “lotion”. This was given to me as a gift from Ayoka Lucas last week after we had a very productive afternoon of working and planning. Maybe she thought I didn’t smell manly enough or something because this makes me want to do push-ups on the rim of a volcano.

The fragrance doesn’t play around either. There is no gentle waft towards your nasal cavity. It pulls a Chuck Norris and punches you in the face with knuckles made of pure lime skin but then somehow it calms itself to a much more manageable level. Sorta like if Busta Rhymes where to walk into your apartment while you’re watching television screaming “WHOOOHAAAA GOT YOU ALL IN CHECK!” then immediate, and with no coaxing from you, sits down and starts quietly working on a crossword puzzle.

It doesn’t smell like how Old Spice used to smell (I say used to because OS is on point now): musky and yucky like something your old uncle or grandfather would rock. It smells like something your old uncle or grandfather would use if they are the kind of men that enjoy yachting, tailored suits, bow ties, and talk about things like their investments rather than dem Cowboys. It smells like something the Dos Equios guy (please click that link) or Worldwide Weswould wear. Yeah, it’s a manly smell but a sophisticated one as well. Even the bottle is both rugged and refined. I like it but I could understand why this wouldn’t be on every guys must have list.
