Pardon the interruption but we are going to deviate from our regularly scheduled programming to provide some insight on the second installment of the South Carolina Online Music Awards which is meant to recognize the artists, DJs and producers that have made an impact in SC hip-hop this past year. The first go ’round (2007) was started by the big homie Randy Roper but this time he has invited others to get involved including representatives from On Point Magazine, Thelyfestlye.com, and Carolinahustle.com. I was graciously given the opportunity to take part by selecting some of the nominees. I honestly believe that this is a monumental step in the right direction for establishing and solidifying (and hopefully unifying) South Carolina’s hip-hop “scene”.  Under the hood is the list of the nominees. Information on voting and such will be available to you as soon as I get it.
